Becky Won't See Her Quilt Until MONDAY

The scheduled drop-off is Monday, so you will have to wait until she sees it first.

So I will show you some other past work over the weekend.

See, I do know how to make a Double Wedding Ring. Nephew Gabriel M has this quilt.

I had all my quilts hanging once. The "Say Good-bye to the Mountains" quilt is the purple and green one.
Close up of the tops of the mountains with some of the first photo transfers I ever did. Can you see our wedding picture? Does that count as a couple photo?

Friday on the Front Porch

We live in a brick 1950 rancher. The morning sun comes up over the front porch. Us, sitting in the rocking chair Jessica gave me!

And if I am going to keep calling this a quilting-making blog, here is an old quilt, another strip project. My 8 siblings each made 9 houses on some great cloud fabric and we exchanged them. The theme was "Love at Home" hymn. Gyleen & Didi are among the quilters who made me 36" strips. I rotate the quilts I hang in our home, and it is almost time for this one to come out for show. Those candlesticks get re-painted every time I re-paint the living room. They are currently silver...I re-paint often.

Old and New Ideas

This "strip" quilt was made with a group of friends, each doing a row based on the theme I chose: Turn the Hearts of the Children to the Fathers; a family history quilt!
I want to point out the rolling hills green mural with sky and clouds behind the quilt, another brief experiment I tried in our hallway.

This Book of Mormon quilt is circa pre-2003. Two close-ups. The entire quilt is made in 12x12 blocks, individually sewn and quilted and then grommetted together. For the quilt show I had arrows bound to the edges with leather straps.

Close-up of Joseph Smith.

I can keep adding to this, continue the grommetted theme. I was thinking that when I die I would will certain squares to each of my children. For example, Samuel would get the Prophet Samuel the Lammanite on the wall...If I make 2 more they each get 3...so I should make 8 more for an even 4 patch for each of them. Maybe. Not today.

And for Luanna! Copied your idea of hands, want to get these printed out and framed, or do a re-shoot, if you can't read this?
