Suzu played the FHE game under duress; she thinks the whole things is silly and gross. Max was trading porcupines for ....can't remember now. Roxie was in heaven with Bottlenose dolphins. Sam was very excited when he came home from school and saw them. Stewart was a good sport. Cheap plastic fun.
My name is Mom-Me at home. Friends who say my given name correctly are highly valued. Jenni-lyn, two distinct sounding names. Not Jen-all-lyn smushed together. I read every day, date husband at least weekly, watch films, daydream, teach early Daily Seminary-Bible Class to (only 13 this year!), cook extravagant meals, make famous fudge, take walks...but mostly I quilt and paint and parent!

Talent Show
Purple silky and fleece raw edge ruffle baby quilt for a shower gift. I did a running stitch on the inside ruffle and sewed down the outer one, so it looked gathered, more in control; pulled lots of strings off. Hopefully it will wash up smoother, kind of a shabby-chic thing going for a purple princess!

Making Memories, Part 6
Creating the Greatest Love Story Ever by Nancy Fagan, M.S
"In the book The 30 Secrets of Happily Married Couples, author Paul Coleman tells how happy couples stay happy. His findings are based on many research studies on marital happiness. Basically, his 30 secrets can be summarized into three main goals that all couples should have:
Practice Good Communication. Communication skills include considering the part you play in the problem, trying not to be defensive, and seeing the issue from your partner's perspective.
Have Realistic Expectations for a Long Relationship. Realize that change involves ups and downs and appreciate the effect that major changes, such as having children, will have on your relationship.
Make Time for Each Other. Make regular dates, have fun together, and take every opportunity to be affectionate.
These three goals sound like such a simple recipe for living happily ever after, but they require something that many people forget, which is daily commitment."
