Standing Out & Blending

Some people avoid wearing bright colors--they stand out! John wears this green sweater because I told him I love the color on him. I like how bright green looks with his blue eyes.

Suzanna asked for an orange shirt. She made this, and is super excited about Percy Jackson's movie coming out Friday! (read the book!) I am thankful she isn't afraid to show her personality, her likes and interests!

And the desire of dressing to blend vs. stand out is complicated. There are times when unity is important. Camouflage times. And other times when it is good to be yourself, uniquely you, still modest and appropriate.

Client wanted names to blend in, goal is subtle, not in-your-face; a discovery to make close up. Delivery on Friday to Becky!

The Foot POP

I asked John what this is called, that thing the girl's leg does when kissing. He found a great site, "TV Tropes," which explained in detail the list of tv shows & films that have used this, including Princess Diaries, Pushing Daisies.

Good Question

I am thankful that John knows clearly what he wants emotionally, and knows how to ask for it. Good husband quality. He encourages me to be more vocal in articulating my needs.

"I need a nap."
"I need some alone time."
"I need to feel safer financially."

Working on that.

Some good contacts from friends pushing his resume to their contacts. We are thankful for the support and help from everyone.

Bodies Are Good

Sweaty after a fun multi-family laser tag adventure! It is a 45 minute work out, running around in the semi-dark. John and I were on opposite teams.

Love Tiffany's packaging! Too cute! (No picture of JessicaL, but heard she did all kinds of helping this morning!). I am very thankful for good creative friends, my thimble, free library videos, and John's hand-lotion massages at night.


It felt like a party putting things together to mail.
