I almost moved our bedroom, switched with the sewing room just for the ceiling fan. Instead, John bought me a ceiling fan to go in our room. LOVE IT! Quiet, cool breeze all night long!
Had to move everything around with 2 new needed sets of shelves. Not the built-ins I would really love, but wonderful. Foot of bed is now closest to bathroom...this is the view when you walk in door.
Shiny Man (Uncle David) still guards the downstairs. Probably one of my favorite pieces of art.
Living room less-cluttered (ignore Sam's High Adventure scout packing-he leaves Monday 3 am); we curbed the black vinyl couch and it was gone within the hour. See the black ceramic cat climbing the wall on right of fireplace above zigzag turquoise chair? Its arms mimic Aunt Julie's tai chi pose in the dining room.
The white cat is over your picture. The white squirrel makes an amazing shadow at night (on top of framed metal sheet). These kitchy ceramics make me laugh! I bought them at Goodwill stores in Cranberry, PA for $.99 each and the black cat was $5 at Salvation Army in Loch Raven. I wouldn't spend more than that on this collection, and I don't really need any more, just to set the record straight. It is NOT because I like cats. They are creepy and make me breathless. I like that these hold still, frozen. Vacant staring eyes. No claws. No smell. No sneezes!
Roxie on her birthday, up at YW camp, sitting by capris-turned-journal jean skirt example (using your life and the London Tube fabric) for the Creative Journalling class I taught. If Sydnie has room, I will send it with her--or mail it with next care pkg.
Stay-tuned for more fun next week in PA babysitting niece & nephews!
