Freedoms

Happy Birthday to America!

I highly recommend the two books "Octavian Nothing" by MT Anderson. Different way of looking at the early years of our country. Some of my family is still in the middle of reading them, so I won't say anything else. No spoilers. But the books bring up some great questions. What do we mean by "Freedoms" and "Liberty" and the "Pursuit of Happiness"? How are you using your freedom?

Another recommendation: "Up" by Pixar/Disney. Wow. Loved it. Cried three different places. Sit through the credits. And have an adventure today!

Mural Moment & Cousin Time!

As I have been making digital copies of old (argh, and you can see the reflection of my camera in the photos! Must do another photo shoot!), old, OLD photos, I found this great shot of a mural I painted for Sandy-Mom, an "A-Rabber Cart," old time fruit and vegetable salesman in the streets of Baltimore. Max & Stewart leave for High Adventure white water rafting camp tomorrow early am. Praying my little big boys remember to put on sunscreen...
I have lots of pictures with the American flag showing in the background. Just noticing a theme...

Suzanna and Rachel are cousins. Born the same year, the same month, almost the same day...

This week they are roommates. I hear they are having fun. I will have to include current pictures of these two young ladies, 13 years later!
