I got motion sick watching "Hunger Games."

On our most recent date I had to run out of the movie theatre to throw up. Jitter-cam reality action filming makes me sick. Inner ear problem? Take meds before going to movies? READ the books before you go-a lost dad in row behind us had no idea what was going on and needed his teenager to explain things...I thought it was a really good book-to-film adaptation. Costumes & makeup are amazing.
Easter pictures, finally!

FABRIC Silk Dyed Easter Eggs

Emmalyn sent me this idea. Instead of a silk tie, I found a silk shirt, and did a whole batch one color-so I did not cover them with a second layer of fabric. Sam helped me. Twisty ties are a great suggestion (I had to cut off the string-not fun). I used white vinegar. 20 minutes cooking. Cooled with cold water and couldn't wait to see the results!

We will try this again with more silk! I have a box somewhere here in my sewing room of silk ties, too worn for wear, but perfect for this project!

Things You Should Really Know About Your Parents

It is really nice to know that my parents like each other. Even better to know that they are in love! Romantic-cuddle-kissing love! They enjoy spending time together. They are happy together after 45 years of marriage! (Mom liked this picture I took and used it on her blog yesterday.)

Great Grandma Billie is a great family matriarch. She is a grand lady, the mother of my father-in-law. She knew after the first kiss from Great Grandpa Stewart that she wanted to marry him!
Us on Easter.

I wanted to make sure the kids understood the historical importance of all their living grandparents together for Easter!
