Hard to tell what these are from this picture, but think cute little baby girl toes peeking out from the bottom of the flowers, like this:
In the tutorial she warns that they are addicting to make...
I needed a fast shower gift, and was able to use materials on hand, things in my sewing studio...Made 3 pairs in less than 45 minutes.
My name is Mom-Me at home. Friends who say my given name correctly are highly valued. Jenni-lyn, two distinct sounding names. Not Jen-all-lyn smushed together. I read every day, date husband at least weekly, watch films, daydream, teach early Daily Seminary-Bible Class to (only 13 this year!), cook extravagant meals, make famous fudge, take walks...but mostly I quilt and paint and parent!

What's For Dinner?
Twenty years ago when we first moved to Maryland, a quilting buddy took me to Farmer Knopp's Vegetable Stand.
Keeps you honest, putting your quarters in a locked box with nobody watching.
Beautiful day to be in rural Harford County!
His driveway is lined with flowers and I was fascinated with all the butterflies!

Congratulations!
Our family meeting spot: Grandpa's picture. He was inducted into the Aberdeen High alumni Hall of Fame. You can't see it very well, but his Atomic Buttercup truck is on the rifht side, under the drape.
THIS was the moment, seeing Stewart, Max, Roxie (her head is just behind Stewart's neck) and knowing Suzanna was coming down the hall any moment--that I intensely missed our daughter, Emmalyn, and her sweetie. Wished they were here with us. Nostalgia, memories, repeated graduations (this was our 4th one)...that brought all the tears for me.
Grandpa John PHOTO-BOMB!
Lots of hugs.
One of the funniest things Suzanna did this week was Monday night, before graduation. We were trying to family schedule-counsel, and she would insert at every pause, "Back to me" and talk about something else she needed. Better than a birthday? She was clear in her communication that she really would like us to get her flowers. And we went to Johnny's Sushi after the ceremony, across the river and got their biggest Love Boat entre (that we consumed in minutes-wonderful stuff!) For the record, Sam loves sushi.

After (Princess Pink & Cream)
In process...When the real 3 year old princess saw her room at this point she pointed to the water and said, "And this is where Flynn will be in his boat to rescue Rapunzel..."
Teeny tiny "not-Flynn" in his boat coming to rescue the princess.
Mini cherry tree. Topiaries in front of the castle Edward Scissorshand-style.
Ladybug, butterfly, worm, toadstools.
Lilies and stars-NOT-lanterns.
Pink cherry tree that will hug her headboard when the bed is moved back in place.

Might
I am thankful for the blessing of might. To have influence. To be influenced for good. And I am acknowledging the power of bad might--it's all part of the plan. We can choose. We have agency. I wish it were easier to impress on our children that what they do now matters. They are building the character of whom they will be as adults.
Yesterday I had a few minutes before I left for work. I was blog reading, and found a crocheted edge wool felt flower.
I wanted to see what it looked like.
And made it in half an hour. Sometimes a good example is enough.
