Good-bye, my blue-eyed son! I think the reality hit me last night during family prayer: we only have 4 kids left at home. FOUR?! Our family has shrunk.
My name is Mom-Me at home. Friends who say my given name correctly are highly valued. Jenni-lyn, two distinct sounding names. Not Jen-all-lyn smushed together. I read every day, date husband at least weekly, watch films, daydream, teach early Daily Seminary-Bible Class to (only 13 this year!), cook extravagant meals, make famous fudge, take walks...but mostly I quilt and paint and parent!

Great idea. Makes me wonder what our Thanksgiving and Christmas will be like.
That was a delicious Thanksgiving! Thank-you for all of your hard work :)
No wonder you were exhausted - being chef and hair dresser all in one day! I love the photo of you two in front of the temple. It looks like John is wearing a Temple hat. :D
what a fun and sweet post. happy and sad at the same time. I have always dreamed of having thanksgiving dinner someime other than thanksgiving and wonder why we only have turkey once -- maybe twice a year! But then I remember the work and effort.
what a fun idea though to do it before your kiddos leave.
I remember reading about a family of a man who has Alzheimers. The Dad was only rational about Christmas. So whenever he thought Christmas was coming, they would get out the tree and start preparing for Christmas. For those days they had their father back as they celebrated together.
